Founded by brothers John, William and Thomas Loake, the family business has been making fine footwear in Northamptonshire, England, since 1880. More than 140 years later, the Loake family’s shoemaking legacy continues.
From the design bench to the finishing room, each pair is crafted with uncompromising attention to detail and brought to life by the skill, personality, and dedication of Loake’s makers.
Loake is renowned for its Goodyear-welted footwear, created using a traditional and intricate construction method with origins dating back over 300 years. Some pairs can take up to eight weeks to produce, resulting in shoes that are made to last.
While proudly rooted in its heritage, Loake remains forward-looking. Alongside classic Oxfords, brogues and boots, its collections now include contemporary loafers and luxury trainers, all designed with enduring quality and everyday comfort in mind. Loake also offers handcrafted accessories, including belts, bags and wallets, alongside a comprehensive range of shoe-care products.
Through expert shoe-care guidance and an in-house repairs service, Loake encourages customers to invest in footwear that can be enjoyed for years to come.
