Russell & Bromley Unveils AW25 Campaign Starring Billie Piper
A bold new chapter begins for the British brand.
Russell & Bromley introduces its highly anticipated AW25 campaign, with British screen star and style muse Billie Piper as the protagonist. A pivotal moment for the 145-year-old brand, this campaign marks the first time in its history that a notable face has fronted the creative, symbolising a dynamic shift under new Creative Director Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw.
Known for her fearless performances and idiosyncratic personal style, Billie brings her unmistakable charm and strong spirit to the campaign. Shot by photographer Brendan Freeman, the creative explores self-expression, individuality and the joy of great design, while introducing the brand’s evolving identity through the lens of Rebellious Traditions. It offers a fresh, energetic vision for the season ahead with Billie as the face of the campaign.
Creative Director Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw says Billie was the dream choice to front his debut campaign –
“When I was first shaping the creative, her energy, wit and presence immediately came to mind. She’s an emblem of modern British style: playful, self-assured, unapologetic.”
The AW25 campaign unfolds in two acts, each one rooted in craft, character and the joy of transformation. Cobblers, launching in September, brings a fashion twist to a familiar tale. Inspired by the story of the woman who lived in a shoe, the set centres on a larger-than-life version of the season’s hero boot. By day, it functions as an artisanal cobbler’s workshop, alive with process and precision. By night, it hints at something more unexpected. Billie Piper steps into the role of our modern muse, commanding the space with style, irreverence and quiet authority. House of Fab, unveiled in November, reveals what happens after dark. The cobbler’s workshop becomes a nightclub, a space of freedom, glamour and self-expression. Colour explodes, silhouettes sharpen and Billie returns as the ultimate party host.
Together, the two scenes create a surreal, theatrical world that celebrates reinvention. While firmly rooted in the now, the campaign also looks to the past, taking inspiration from historic Russell & Bromley campaigns and reworking archival ideas through a modern lens. It draws on three influential subcultures: British Mod, Punk and Club Kids. Each brings a distinct dynamic, from rebellion to creativity to radical self-expression. This is a story of contrast and conviction, where tradition moves forward and heritage is reimagined through design.
Creative Director Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw describes the campaign as a landmark moment for the brand.
“I’m incredibly proud to introduce Billie as the face of our AW25 campaign and my debut collection for Russell & Bromley. She embodies the spirit of modern British style with such ease and individuality, and brings a sense of energy, confidence and charm that feels completely in tune with where we’re headed. Billie couldn’t be a more fitting choice. Since joining the business, my focus has been on evolving the brand with purpose, building on our heritage while designing for a new generation. Billie brings that vision to life with real personality.”
With this landmark campaign, Russell & Bromley cements its new creative direction: a fashion-forward evolution grounded in heritage, elevated by craftsmanship, and driven by personality.
