It Started With a Lock

This May, Mulberry are spotlighting the locks that have become as synonymous with their iconic bags themselves. In a series of stills shot by celebrated photographer Esther Theaker and styled by Isabella Sayer, three models are candidly captured sporting modern classics – including the Lana and the Pimlico – and juxtaposed with closely cropped images of each bags’ hardware.

These locks act as symbols of Mulberry’s evolution: dynamic and bold, but with a quintessential and inimitable Britishness. Much like Britain, over the years Mulberry’s hardware has evolved – referenced, refreshed, reimagined – but the hallmarks have remained the same: secure, classic, and made to last.
