Inspired by the Japanese celebration of winter Issho is introducing a sumptuous Yuki (snow) themed terrace with an extra special curated cocktail menu and Afternoon Tea, in collaboration with Roku Gin.
From 29th November until the end of February guests can choose from six new seasonal cocktails, including Snowlight, land of the Rising Sun becomes land of snow, featuring Roku Gin, Mandarine Napoleon, Maraschino, Ginger & Lemongrass syrup served with Sparkling Sake and Candied Ginger), Nagano, inspired by the popular ski resorts and world famous “Snow Monkey Park” (Roku Gin, Martini Bianco, Lemon Juice, berry infusion and foam), and a winter warming hot addition, Onsen, inspired by the hot springs of Onsen, (Roku Gin, Rakasumi Honjouzo Sake, Honey, infused with ginger, sansho pepper and Sencha green tea). All cocktails are served £10.00.
At weekends, when there is more time to indulge at length, Issho will be serving Yuki Terrace Afternoon Tea featuring a mix of sweet and savoury Japanese delights: Edamame Beans, Temari Sushi Balls, Sliced Sea Bass, Ponzu and Miso Braised Lamb Shoulder Pancakes followed by Caramel Purin, Chocolate & Matcha Green Tea Brownies, Yuzu Meringue Kisses, Mochi Ice Cream Balls. This is accompanied by a choice of selected teas including Sencha (loose leaf Japanese Green Tea), Hojicha (Roasted Green Tea), Konacha Sushi Drinking Tea as well as English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Fresh Mint and a Roku Gin and Tonic.
Yuki Afternoon Tea is served at £25.00 per person (minimum of two people). Guests can add free-flowing Prosecco to their tea for an extra £15.00 (maximum 1 1/2 hours) or one of the new season cocktails for £10.00.
